1. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to deliver seamless vertical drama streaming and account features:

• Account Credentials: Display name, email address, hashed password, linked Telegram identifier (if you choose to connect via our Telegram bot), or Google account ID.
• Viewing Activity: Playback timestamps, completed episodes, Continue Watching progress, favorites, and custom lists.
• Wallet & Unlocks: Coin balances, transaction timestamps, unlocked episode indexes, and daily reward streaks. Payment card numbers are processed directly by our secure payment processors and are never received or stored by DramaShort.
• Guest & Device Data: Prior to registration, guest rewards and continue-watching progress are stored locally on your device via browser localStorage. When you enable push notifications, we store your anonymous web-push subscription endpoint.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to operate and enhance the Service:

• Resuming video playback from your exact saved position.
• Managing your virtual Coin balance, processing episode unlocks, and syncing guest reward progress when you log in.
• Sending essential account verification codes, password resets, and optional push notifications for newly released episodes.
• Preventing unauthorized access, fraudulent Coin generation, and stream-ripping attacks.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use lightweight, essential client storage mechanisms to power the application:

• Authentication Cookies: Secure session cookies (managed by Supabase SSR) to keep you signed in securely across page reloads.
• Theme Cookie (ds_theme): Remembers your selected visual theme (Light, Soft, Dark) before the page renders.
• Local Storage (localStorage): Caches guest daily tasks, player aspect ratio preferences, and recent search terms on your device.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We partner with reputable infrastructure providers to operate the platform:

• Database & Authentication: Supabase for secure data hosting, row-level security, and authentication.
• Payment Processing: Compliant third-party checkout processors for Coin package purchases.
• Content Delivery: Scalable video distribution networks and authorized studio gateways for fast HLS streaming.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Retention & 14-Day Deletion Grace Period

Your viewing history and wallet records are retained as long as your account is active. If you initiate account deletion from Account Settings, a 14-day grace period begins. You may cancel the deletion request during this window. Once the 14 days elapse, all your personal identifiers, watch history, and wallet records are permanently expunged.

6. Your Rights and Controls

You have full control over your data. You may update your display name, disconnect linked social providers, reset your password, toggle push notifications off at any time, or request complete account deletion from your Account page.

7. Children's Privacy

DramaShort is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without verified parental consent.
