Fawn Silverleaf, an elk maiden of the herbivore clan, and Raven Nightclaw, the panther chieftain of the carnivore clan, are fated rivals at the mysterious Aidenmore Orc Academy — a forbidden romance that blooms from enmity to love. At the story's start, Fawn arrives at the academy with her overprotective brother Elm, only to unexpectedly experience a mysterious soul resonance with Raven that awakens an unknown primal beast power within her. Though Elm strictly forbids her from approaching the carnivores, Fawn is repeatedly bullied and framed by Viper — a lioness, Raven's ex-girlfriend. Raven rescues her time and again, and their feelings ignite rapidly amid the danger, activating the ancient soul contract between them. Their bond is unacceptable to the elders of both clans — yet after weathering setback after setback, the two finally confess their true hearts, dissolve the rift between their peoples, and live happily ever after together.
