One night in the Montana wilderness, when a wolf attacked, Ethan Hunt—in a desperate bid to save Ella Garcia and her child (the fruit of their past romance)—sacrificed his own severely wounded daughter, Sophie Hunt, resulting in her tragic death. Consumed by despair, his wife, Lena Jones, stopped at nothing to seek revenge: she exposed Ella Garcia’s true identity and severed all ties with Ethan Hunt. In the end, the antagonist paid the price for their actions, while Lena Jones managed to overcome her grief, rebuilding her life—anchored by love and the memory of what she had lost.
